This prank, which took place on December 28, was shared with a caption describing the car as ideal for the circuits of Monaco, Las Vegas, Monza, and Interlagos, generating excitement among motorsport fans.
The stock Kawasaki H2R engine generates 306 horsepower, but a Formula 1 car requires much more power, between 850 and 1,000 horsepower. Additionally, F1 regulations require cars to weigh at least 798 kg, much more than the 216 kg of the H2R, making it impossible for a motorcycle engine, no matter how powerful, to be competitive in a category like F1.
Despite these obvious limitations, Kawasaki plays with the idea of an H2R engine modified for F1, although this is clearly impossible in practice. Even so, the prank made the audience dream of a possible crossover between motorcycles and high-performance cars, something Kawasaki and its engineers could explore in the future.
